Rhea Mae

Followers of the Kodak falcons have been blessed this year. One of the fledges from the 2006 season, regal Rhea Mae, has found a new home. She now roosts with her new mate Tiago in Toronto, Canada. She and Tiago occupy a nest on the Sheraton Hotel. Lucky for us there is a camera and a watcher who sends watch reports. Falcons face a high mortality rate their first year of life. It is so gratifying to know that one of our fledges is alive and well.

Ah, the falcons are back! :)
Very cool that Rhea Mae has made a new home so close! Maybe you can get up and visit her one of these days!
Do we now have a family that will only nest in tall commercial buildings? I guess with the decrease in wild areas everything has to adapt.
I've developed a new appreciation of birds, looking at your site, and having moved to Florida where there are a lot of cool birds.
I love the pants on this one!
Ohhh ~~ Thank you so much for this update on Rhea Mae! That is really great news. :-)
