Took a while for fall to get here but I think it has finally arrived!
it has been a strange october hasn't it? we went to the pumpkin patch the first weekend in october and we were sweating on the hayride... it just wasn't right..
however.. we've had cold rain all day today and i dont think the warm weather is coming back... i'm sure it will be it's normal freezing cold on trick or treat night!
hope you're hanging in there... hugs...
We're having a weird October...first hot then cold with snow and today hot again.
Barb... I can't take it... you're getting way to deep for me! ;)
Our October is as usual (in recent years) ... warm, warm, warm! I DO remember way back when October was considered a colder month though! Seems like a long time ago though! Most years my kids went trick-or-treating without a jacket!
beautiful!! you're on a roll!
I like your poems...finally they are fall-ing out of you.
Cold weather and rain arrive in November over here...
Loved your post, poem and picture :)
I have very little idea how autumn feels like, so the poem-list says a lot about what autumn should be.
A very nice photo too.
Me loves me some October.
This is so lovely, Barbara! I'm a little sad that the peak of the leaves has passed, but I will deal with it. :)
Barbara - I'm running a little contest concerning the World Series. Feel free to enter and have a rooting interest of sorts, even though your Yanks didn't make it.
It is a little chilly here in England.
What a beautiful display. I'll take this warmer fall, for sure! Thinking about you and your Mom.
Hey, the Sox won last night... ;-)
Fall is here and it is chilly and rainy and wonderful.

This was so beautiful Barbara. I hope things are going okay on your end. I'm still thinking of you friend.
Wow Barbra you are so gifted. My Great-Great uncle and aunt were Robert & Elizabeth Barrett Browning. They are buried between Edgar Allen Poe and Shakespere. So I know talent when I see it giggle!
October in south Florida is almost always warm and humid. Today we actually had a fall day. Tomorrow it will be summer again. I gave up waiting for white zinnias to make the name tag I promised you a loooooooooong time ago, so I took a photo of the t-shirt my daughter wore today and added your name. You can grab it here, if you would like. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.
Here is one more, Barbara, in case you don't crae for the NYY one. It isn't what I wanted to do with white zinnias - I wanted a blue background, but it just wasn't to be.
our fall weather is smoke and ash falling
Like Killired, October is strange here too. We're supposed to be on the rainy season but it is still hot like summer. Yes we do get some rain but not as often as it used to be. Nice poetry you did. Didn't know you could compose such beautiful poem.
How's your mom doing? Wishing her good health.
Dropping by to wish you a happy weekend...and hope your mom is doing well.
i like the moose in the hat picture, where is that ?
This is our first time at your place. We love your blog title - it states our sentiments exactly. Did you write that wonderful poem? If you have the time, we would love for you to stop by our place. Thanks in advance.
Visiting again after months of silence. Hope you're mom is better now.
Happy Halloween!
