July 4 Falcon Watch - New Video
There are five ( 5 ) videos below.
I got to the pedestrian bridge about 8:15 AM. I saw Jim P. who was just leaving, he said there were two juveniles on the back of the middle stack. One of them flew east after a couple of minutes and I lost her right away. Then one flew west heading towards downtown. I tried to get some good video, but the falcons were very far away, but I think there is a food transfer in there somewhere:

Then Gene showed up and I told him that there may be a falcon on the Chase building far away. I decided to go over to the observation deck above the gorge. After I was there a little while a juvenile showed up and flew around the gorge for a little while. It looks like she started out chasing a bird. Take a look:

It started to rain so I headed back and ended up sitting out the rain at Jimmy Mac's with Gene, Brian H, Carol P, Marcia and Kathy O. After the rain let up someone (not me) spied Aura on a tank near the Beebee station. She flew into Isaura's tree and disrupted some crows sitting there. Here she is:

Things were getting a little slow so I thought I would head downtown and see if the falcons picked a new place to hunt today. Lucklily I didn't get very far when Carol called me back, Sabrina was spotted under the bridge. Kathy O., Brian and Carol could all see her, but I wasn't going to bend over the railing as far as they were, I walked to the far end of the bridge to get this video:

I was busy videoing Sabrina when Aura decided to fly right over me. Here is the footage of Aura

It was about 11:45 AM and time for me to leave. I hope you enjoyed this report!

The videos were wonderful.
Aura is stunning, I loved seing them soar, floating on thier
wings. Thank you, it felt like I was on the bridge following, trying to catch up.
Yes indeed I enjoyed reading your report. Any update on these falcons is welcome.
While I was away from blogging this weekend, I did think about the falcons so was happy to visit today to get an update. *s*
Following the falcons is really interesting - thanks for sharing!
My July 5th WW is up!
Thank you for sharing your report and videos, Barbara, it is appreciated!
Barbara, you really went all out capturing so many videos. I had no idea our girls soared for such long periods. Thanks to you, I now know that. What beautiful flyers they are.
